Misc. Prop models

Have mostly focused on Prop models for the past few weeks. Just odds and ends I have around the house. Fun to put together things you can actually hold in your hands.

January 2016 Generalist Demo

Cut together a brand new demo reel today. Lord knows I’ll probably end up feeling dissatisfied with it by nightfall but right now? I think it came together nicely. Will hopefully send it out to a few places before the day is done.

"Legend of Korra" Animation exercises.

Just some animation practice I got in with my "Legend of Korra" rig. Did the weight lift a few weeks ago, it's far from ready to render but it has it's good qualities. The Jump kick was an experiment for today, still could use some finesse but I think it turned out okay.

.gifs and things!

Just uploading some animation .gifs I had whipped up. You can see that I rigged and have animated the Legend of Korra model I made a while back, and that I created some idle animations for my Pinkerton and Rahne characters. Also featuring a short jump animation.

Falling Stars by Lock 'N' Load Publishing

As some of you may already know I was working on a Freelance project for most of last Fall. And this is it in all of it’s glory! Lock’N’Load Publishing’s “Falling Stars”
I did many of the core designs and The modelling of the ships. It was definitely a learning experience but damn did these end up looking nice.

Dustin Nguyen Styled Batman model

Made this Batman in the style of Dustin Nguyen's "Lil Gotham" Series. I don't usually do what some would call fan art but this was a very fun project to do and I think that as an experiment this has helped me in modelling more definition to an organic character. Probably gonna texture him eventually. As is the Topology is already solid enough to rig.

Max Gilligan character model

Finished (for now) model and textures for the character of Max Gilligan.

He works at "Cool Beans" a restaurant chain that serves exclusively variations of cold beans. They're surprisingly popular.

Character Model updates

Finished up the photographer character model textures and have started on a new one. With a little bit of luck I'll have a new modelling reel complete for Friday.

New Character Turn Table

Finished character turn table. Still have to do a bit more texturing work and make the hair cards more... working but I'm fairly satisfied with how this girl turned out.

Hopefully I'll be able to rig it and then render a Turntable in a pose so I can cut together a new reel before the holidays.

I think she needs a name, don't you?

Done in Autodesk Maya, Photoshop and Zbrush

New Character Model update:

Been working on this new character model for the past few weeks. I've done a bit more modelling past this since I snipped the image and have begun texturing him. I don't think he's turning out half bad eh?

Render Previews

Some of my latest test renders for two of my final assignments.

My Ranger character aside from lighting is finally in a state of what I would call being "complete" after weeks of revisions from my instructors and peers I think it turned out splendidly. Aside from the mentioned lighting everything here (Model,Rig,Texture) should be an accurate reflection of what he will look like on my upcoming reel.

The El Camino is still a work in progress texture wise but he's coming along nicely.

Made using: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and Z-Brush.

Character Model

Finished and rigged character model I’ve been working on all semester. Still needs driven keys in the hands and the skin weighting could use some work but he’s not bad. Texturing will come next semester.
Done mostly in Autodesk Maya 2013, with the head being made in the latest version of Z-Brush.

Mass Effect Z-Sculpt Bust

Still working on it! I think I'm going to settle for a bust at the end of the day. The torso is a very rough sculpt with an even rougher texture painted on but I'm still figuring things out with it.
