"Bravest Warriors" character models.

Was bored last week and decided to watch some of Cartoon Hangover's "Bravest Warriors" on Youtube. Afterwards I decided to get some simple character modelling practice in and thus over the course of the week these guys were made. It was a really enjoyable casual project as I had to go about some of these guys a lot differently than I would with a lot of characters. In any case thought to show these folk off on my main blog.

"VIDdEO" Models

These are the prop models I made for the DuneWorld Collectives "VIDdEO."

They were the majority of my contribution to the game and I spent a lot of time on them, the Magnum in particular. But in any case I felt that you never really got a good look at the models during gameplay so I rendered off this quick display. In hindsight I could have put more into some of them and I plan on making the magnum even better.

I hope you dig them, and be sure to be on the look out for more Duneworld.

Camcorder model

Modeled my old Camcorder in my down time this week. I think with this alongside my headphones and watch model with my already large portfolio of character models I can render off a new modelling reel shortly.
Modeled in Autodesk Maya.

Headphones test render

Test Render of some headphones I’m modelling. No cord yet obviously but Aside from a few details I think I have them spot on from the pair I’m using for reference. Now it’s mostly just deciding what remaining details should be modelled on and which details I should save for texturing.

Harley Quinn finished textures.

And I present to thee my finished "Harley Quinn model" in the Style of Dustin Nguyen.

I think the textures turned out alright but the Spec map isn't the greatest. Well anywho, calling it done. Now to move on to new projects.

Done In Maya, Photoshop, and zBrush

Harley Quinn Model

Spent the past few hours finishing up the Harley Quinn model I started way back. Might tweak it some more after this but I’m happy with her as she is now. Just have to UV and texture her and she’ll be done in the sun.
All thanks to the design goes to Dustin Nguyen.
And as always I’m ready and open for commissions. Message me here for details.
Done in Autodesk Maya.

Character Dummy

Finished base model of the character that was started a few days ago.
He’s kind of a blank slate right now in terms of characterization but I kind of wanted to create a dummy I could texture to become a variety of characters.
Fun fact, topology wise this dummy is both ready to rig and animate and is also fully 3d printable (That is to say it can be printed, not sure how well it would be though, lol).
Another fun fact, He looks suspiciously a lot like Bruce Timm’s Mr. Freeze. Unintentional but I can’t stop seeing it.
Done in Maya.

Figure Model

Just a quick figure model for a potential character.

Lacking hands and a face of course but the majority of the body was the goal and It's on model to what I had sketched up.

3 hours of work in maya.

Wrist Watch model

Modeled this wrist watch a while back. Tweaked it a bit and tried to give it a nice render. Didn't turn out so bad but it could still use some work and texturing once the modeling is more finalized.

Done in Autodesk Maya.

Falling Stars by Lock 'N' Load Publishing

As some of you may already know I was working on a Freelance project for most of last Fall. And this is it in all of it’s glory! Lock’N’Load Publishing’s “Falling Stars”
I did many of the core designs and The modelling of the ships. It was definitely a learning experience but damn did these end up looking nice.

Nguyen Style Batman model and Textures

Hey guys, put some textures on the Batman model I showed you guys a few weeks ago. Could still use some work and a spec map but I don't think he looks too bad eh?

Dustin Nguyen Styled Batman model

Made this Batman in the style of Dustin Nguyen's "Lil Gotham" Series. I don't usually do what some would call fan art but this was a very fun project to do and I think that as an experiment this has helped me in modelling more definition to an organic character. Probably gonna texture him eventually. As is the Topology is already solid enough to rig.

Max Gilligan character model

Finished (for now) model and textures for the character of Max Gilligan.

He works at "Cool Beans" a restaurant chain that serves exclusively variations of cold beans. They're surprisingly popular.

Character Model updates

Finished up the photographer character model textures and have started on a new one. With a little bit of luck I'll have a new modelling reel complete for Friday.
