Character models and rigging practice.

Have been working on my rigging skills these last few months. And to rig one must model. Made a few more than this but I liked how my cyborg character and my Supergirl rig turned out.

Misc. Prop models

Have mostly focused on Prop models for the past few weeks. Just odds and ends I have around the house. Fun to put together things you can actually hold in your hands.

January 2016 Generalist Demo

Cut together a brand new demo reel today. Lord knows I’ll probably end up feeling dissatisfied with it by nightfall but right now? I think it came together nicely. Will hopefully send it out to a few places before the day is done.

.gifs and things!

Just uploading some animation .gifs I had whipped up. You can see that I rigged and have animated the Legend of Korra model I made a while back, and that I created some idle animations for my Pinkerton and Rahne characters. Also featuring a short jump animation.

Legend of Korra Model.

Made a character model from one of my favourite recently concluded animated series a while back. It's been a bit now but I'm satisfied with how she turned out and reckon she's worthy of being put up here.

New Character Model update:

Been working on this new character model for the past few weeks. I've done a bit more modelling past this since I snipped the image and have begun texturing him. I don't think he's turning out half bad eh?

Render Previews

Some of my latest test renders for two of my final assignments.

My Ranger character aside from lighting is finally in a state of what I would call being "complete" after weeks of revisions from my instructors and peers I think it turned out splendidly. Aside from the mentioned lighting everything here (Model,Rig,Texture) should be an accurate reflection of what he will look like on my upcoming reel.

The El Camino is still a work in progress texture wise but he's coming along nicely.

Made using: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and Z-Brush.

Mass Effect Z-Sculpt Bust

Still working on it! I think I'm going to settle for a bust at the end of the day. The torso is a very rough sculpt with an even rougher texture painted on but I'm still figuring things out with it.

Pinkerton Render

Just took a targa out of an Image sequence I rendered for my next demo reel and thought to share. It does not stand out against black all that well to be honest but Photoshop was being a tool.

Character, model and all textures are Mine.

Done in Autodesk Maya.

Adventure Time (Continued)...

So yeah, I made a Jake the Dog tonight. Think that for the next little while whenever I crave a bit of stress free Maya I might just make another AT character and eventually make a scenes with them.

Oceans.

I've recently been intrigued with how to animate water in general so I started playing around with Maya's "Ocean" a bit. Nothing anywhere near perfect or realistic but still rather fun. I need to figure out how to use the particle emitter well before I can make anything really good.
